WHY community football?
Community Football celebrates the world’s most popular sport through promoting and supporting football competitions, tournaments, programs, communities, teams and players at a grassroots level. Our aim is to provide football opportunities for players, teams and communities at a social level with a focus on inclusion for all, mate-ship, fun and learning.
Football is a sport that makes people feel like they belong, no matter where they come from, or their current circumstances. Community Football Australia takes a lifetime view of the role football can play for each individual. Our aim is to invest in grassroots participation and nurture a cohesive and coordinated Community Football movement.
We do this by being pro-active and partnering with like-minded organisations and communities to help deliver football opportunities that otherwise might not be possible.
We can and do, co-design programs specifically for individual circumstances, or act as a bridge between communities and established football entities and programs.
Feel free to contact us at any time.
Our Ethos
Whether managing Competitions and Tournaments, interacting with Government or Communities, we have always and will always promote the following values and qualities:
1. Participation and development above competition
2. Respect (for team mates, the opposition and match officials and the host venues) above winning;
3. Good sportsmanship and fair play;
4. Mateship;
5. Affordability;
6. A “Football For All” philosophy.

The formation of the Africa United Under 21 Football Team in Brisbane was the culmination of 12 months of hard work.
The team played Brisbane Roar Youth in a friendly game on 2 November at Logan Football Complex. Community Football Australia and Welcoming Australia were proud to assist the team with their uniforms. We will continue to work with the team at Africa United to form Under 23 and Under 18 teams, and to showcase their skills and abilities on the big stage.
